Vignette du Village aspires to convey the timeless essence of Noyers, a village rich in medieval history, and immersed in natural beauty. The series was curated and created from images taken during my last visit in 2014, and transformed into digital “paintings,” indelible inkjet printed on washi. The series reflects the quality of Noyer’s light, nature, human nature, and continuity, where the horizon line threads the narrative between each image, leading and trailing with the feathers. This haiku-inspired presentation expresses my perception of Noyer’s intangible ambiance – framing its flora & fauna into compositions that transcend a sense of time, embrace the dialog with spirit, and celebrate the greater, natural environment.
